The Wichita Public Library has been screening the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ nominated short films every year since 1986. Each year, the Academy nominates five films in the categories of Live Action, Animation, and Documentary. This program features the best short films from around the world and is one of the longest-running programs at the Wichita Public Library.
Come watch the five Academy Award-nominated short films in the Documentary category. Each film is 40 minutes or less and may not be suitable for all audiences.
The Evergreen branch of the Wichita Public Library has been combined with the City of Wichita's District VI Neighborhood Resource Center and community organizations. This facility is located in north Wichita next to Evergreen Park.
