Watch a movie, make art, or do both! Come enjoy this library hangout session curated for book lovers with book-related crafts and a viewing of The Bookshop (2017).
Do you enjoy being creative and having a movie on while you work? Join us at the library for Art-Flix, where you can collaborate with your neighbors to create arts & crafts and enjoy an artsy film.
We'll have tables set up so you can create art while watching a film with others. Use the supplies provided to create guided crafts or bring your own—we just ask that you're mindful of your mess and the space.
Whether you like to sketch, draw, scribble, or color, all mediums are welcome!
September's Theme: Book Lovers
We'll watch The Bookshop (2017) and provide supplies to create book page crafts.
Art-Flix is part of the Third Place on Second Street program series.
About The Third Place on Second Street
A "third place" is a vital social space where people can gather and connect outside of home and work. These spaces foster casual interactions, build relationships, exchange ideas, and create a sense of belonging.
The Wichita Public Library invites you to make the library your third place with The Third Place on Second Street, an engaging program series designed to bring people together. Each event features a unique theme and activity—ranging from board games and movies to live music and more—offering opportunities to relax, have fun, and connect with others in the community.
Each TPOSS event also includes a curated selection of library materials related to the theme, available for checkout.
Come discover how the library can be your third place!
The Evergreen branch of the Wichita Public Library has been combined with the City of Wichita's District VI Neighborhood Resource Center and community organizations. This facility is located in north Wichita next to Evergreen Park.
