From humorous limericks to structured sonnets to Japanese Haikus, there’s a vast multitude of styles of poetry, which can be a little daunting. Learn some the forms and techniques used in poetry, maybe write some of your own.
Feel free to bring your own writing instrument of choice, though pen and paper will be provided, in case you're inspired.

The Alford Branch Library is located in south Wichita near I-235 and Meridian. The building is named for Lionel D. Alford (1925-2000), a retired senior vice president at Boeing who is credited for starting the Kansas Food Bank and known as an advocate for Wichita Public Schools.
