Conference Rooms 115 & 116Using music and storytelling, Derrick Doty shares what it's like to be a Kansas musician and what music tells us about time and place. Funding for this program was provided by Humanities Kansas.
This presentation explores informal music traditions, styles, and musicians from Territorial Kansas up through the age of the radio and concludes with a demonstration of various instruments and music from early 19th and 20th century Kansas.

The Westlink Branch Library is located in west Wichita near Central & Tyler. Westlink's outdoor children's area features Anji Play, an early childhood education approach that centers around True Play, a style of learning that emphasizes self-directed, open-ended discovery through play.
