Learn all the basics of operating a sewing machine including threading the machine, troubleshooting common mistakes and more. Call 261-8500 or visit wichitalibrary.org to register.

Whether you are wanting to learn to sew your own clothes, create home decor items, or upcycle fabrics to live more sustainably, building foundational skills in using a sewing machine are essential. There will be a limited number of Janome 2222 sewing machines available for use during the program, or learners can bring a machine from home if they prefer. Class size is limited, and registration is required.

The Advanced Learning Library, located centrally in the historic Delano neighborhood, has many specialty services and collections including the Maker Space and AV Studio, local history and genealogy collections, and the Friends of the Wichita Public Library used bookstore.
