Sewing Machine Basics
Friday, November 13
10:30am - 12:30pm
Advanced Learning Library
Rolland Eakins TEC-Novation RoomLearn the basics of operating a sewing machine including threading, troubleshooting, common mistakes and more. Call 261-8500 or visit wichitalibrary.org to register for one of these two sessions.
Whether you want to sew your own clothes, create home decor items, or upcycle fabrics to live more sustainably, building foundational skills in using a sewing machine are essential. There will be a limited number of Janome 2222 sewing machines available for use during the program, or learners can bring a machine from home if they prefer (if you bring your own sewing machine, it is highly recommended to bring the instruction manual if you have it).
Due to high demand, there will be two sessions offered back to back, both covering the same material. Please only sign up for one session. Class size is limited, and registration is required. Depending on availability, participants using a library sewing machine may need to share.
