Did you know April is Citizen Science month? The Great Plains Nature Center and a member of the Environmental Science Center at WSU will talk about what it is and how you can make a difference!
As a citizen scientist, you can make a difference as a volunteer in projects like Trash Free ICT and it is a great way to engage and enhance your community! (No background or expertise in science is required either!) Michelle DeHaven (she/her), Program Manager at the Heartland Environmental Justice Center at Wichita State University and Oleander Ford (they/them), Seasonal Naturalist for the Great Plains Nature Center will talk about what Citizen Science is, some of the citizen science projects available in the Wichita community, why community-driven science is so important and how you can get involved in making a difference in a fun and educational way.
