Join us for an art activity that encourages self-reflection and mental well-being in a judgment-free space. Call 316-261-8500 or visit wichitalibrary.org/events to register.
Art can be a powerful tool for self-expression and self-discovery. When we create art as a tool for self-care, we have the opportunity to explore our thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental space. This month we will be creating Zentangle tiles. A Zentangle drawing is an abstract drawing created using repetitive patterns according to the trademarked Zentangle Method. The invention of the Zentangle® was intended to make the act of drawing pleasurable, meditative and accessible to all. Basic supplies like pen, pencil and paper/Zentangle tiles will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring additional drawing supplies if they prefer. No drawing skills or experience is required.
