Join us for a screening of the classic 1954 animated adaptation of George Orwell’s acclaimed novella Animal Farm. Written during World War II as a critique of Stalinist totalitarianism, the novella was initially rejected by western publishers who feared it would damage the wartime alliance with the Soviet Union. Even after its publication, the book faced widespread bans in communist regimes, and it continues to be challenged and restricted in various parts of the world today for its political themes.
