Participate in simulations to experience firsthand what it's like to live with neurodivergent conditions that make reading difficult. Registration is encouraged but not required.
Introducing Beyond Words: Wichita's Reading Crisis. Join us as we kick off the Wichita Journalism Collaborative's next initiative focused on adult literacy, the difficulties those who struggle to read face every day, and the impact that has on our community. Join us to participate in simulations that will allow you to experience firsthand what it's like to live with dysgraphia, dyslexia, ADHD, and other neurodivergent conditions that make reading difficult. This event is facilitated by the Phillips Fundamental Learning Center and Wichita Public Library. Registration is encouraged but not required.

The Advanced Learning Library, located centrally in the historic Delano neighborhood, has many specialty services and collections including the Maker Space and AV Studio, local history and genealogy collections, and the Friends of the Wichita Public Library used bookstore.
