Turn your favorite regular old hardcover book into a deluxe edition at this Third Place event! We will have some books for you to decorate with corner savers and stencils to paint the edges. Feel free to grab a book from those provided or bring your own!
We will also be screening the 1982 classic Jim Henson's "The Dark Crystal".
About The Third Place on Second Street
A "third place" is a vital social space where people can gather and connect outside of home and work. These spaces foster casual interactions, build relationships, exchange ideas, and create a sense of belonging.
The Wichita Public Library invites you to make the library your third place with The Third Place on Second Street, an engaging program series designed to bring people together. Each event features a unique theme and activity—ranging from board games and movies to live music and more—offering opportunities to relax, have fun, and connect with others in the community.

The Advanced Learning Library, located centrally in the historic Delano neighborhood, has many specialty services and collections including the Maker Space and AV Studio, local history and genealogy collections, and the Friends of the Wichita Public Library used bookstore.
