Sewing empowers people to transform the world and the materials around them. Whether you are wanting to learn to sew your own clothes, create home decor items, or upcycle fabrics to live more sustainably, building foundational skills in using a sewing machine is essential. In this program you will learn all the basics of operating a sewing machine including winding the bobbin, threading the machine and selecting and sewing basic stitches. Learn how to troubleshoot common mistakes and practice making different stitches. There will be a limited number of Janome 2222 sewing machines available for use during the program, or learners can bring a machine from home if they prefer.
