Last summer, local photographer Kenzie Borland traveled to Japan as part of an artist residency program. During her time there, she documented her experiences through her camera lens, culminating in her first photobook, This Abundant Land.
Kenzie Boreland serves as the communications manager for the Kansas Appleseed Center for Law and Justice and is also the co-owner of Dead Center Vintage. An accomplished photographer, she studied at the San Francisco Art Institute.
At this event, Kenzie will share some of her photos and discuss her residency experience, including her artistic process for capturing the images that tell the story of her journey.
The Advanced Learning Library, located centrally in the historic Delano neighborhood, has many specialty services and collections including the AV Studio, local history and genealogy collections, and Friends of the Library used bookstore.
