Come to the PBS Kansas Cochener-Garvey Children’s Education & Discovery Center for story time and book bus stop. The Education Center focuses on STEAM-based learning (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics) for children 2-10 years old and their families. The Book Bus is an outreach initiative to bring library services to areas of Wichita that don't have quick access to a physical library location. The recycled bus from Wichita Transit is outfitted with shelves of books residents can borrow from the bus. While the majority of the books are geared towards children, there is a limited collection of popular books for adults.

The Advanced Learning Library, located centrally in the historic Delano neighborhood, has many specialty services and collections including the AV Studio, local history and genealogy collections, and Friends of the Library used bookstore.
