Join us for a presentation on the 13 Rebel Women of the Kansas Women's Suffrage effort and how they are represented in the new Suffrage Memorial Mural at the Kansas State Capitol.
Did you know that Kansas women were active in the Women’s Suffrage Movement? Jeanne Klein, a retired KU theater professor, will join us virtually to share an entertaining and informative presentation about the 13 women of the Kansas Women's Suffrage movement who are depicted in a powerful mural painted by Phyllis Garibay-Coon that now hangs in the State Capitol. Dr. Klein currently serves as co-president of the League of Women Voters of Lawrence/Douglas County.
