This month we will be embracing our inner child by making some Kawaii doodles! Kawaii, which is derived from the Japanese expression Kao Hayushi, which roughly translates to “blushing,” has evolved to be associated with all things cute and comprises a large portion of how Westerners view Japanese culture. Kawaii doodles are simple to draw and fun! From smiling ice cream cones to baby animals, creating these simple but happy doodles can be a great way to lift your mood and are easy to draw (even if you can’t draw!). No art skill or experience is required for this program, and all art supplies will be provided to do the activity. For those who would rather not draw, there will also be some kawaii-themed coloring pages available to color.
