The documentary follows three students fighting to restore 97 books suddenly pulled from their school libraries. As they rise from local advocates to national voices, they connect with banned authors, politicians, and First Amendment defenders.
Featuring appearances by Congressman Jamie Raskin, banned authors Juno Dawson, Jodi Picoult, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, Erika L. Sánchez, and Ellen Hopkins; free speech advocates from PEN America and the ALA; and the creators of the nation’s first anti-book-ban legislation—this film is a call to action for anyone who believes in the right to read.
